Does the Club provide any equipment?
Yes, part of the membership fee and match fee goes towards providing a club kit bag for the team. The kit bag contains all the necessary gear required to play at our level including pads and bats. The club doesn't currently provide helmets and players will need to buy there own.

Do I need to purchase cricket whites?
We encourage all potential members and existing members to wear crickets whites during play. However if a potential member is within their 2 match trial period we would allow other predominately white clothing which could be used for any sport to be worn so long as suitable footwear is being used. After the 2 match trial period we do expect players to invest in whites. This need not be an expensive purchase

Will I get a chance to bat or bowl in my first match?

The caendeavors the day will endevour to involve potential members at the earliest opportunity whilst still ensuring the correct match strategy is being followed at that particular time.

I'm not sure about taking membership yet but would like to play some games to see if I'm interested. How do I go about getting selected for a game?

Normally the best way to get selected is to sign up to the club mailing list which would keep you informed of forthcoming fixtures. Captains normally send out an email on Monday of the week of the game asking for players to make their availability be known. The deadline for players to confirm their availability is Tuesday 5pm after which players may not get priority selection. If you're interested in particpating in a game that weekend you will need to send a reply to the captains email.

As a new player the captain may not be aware of where your playing strength lies when picking a balanced team (ie are you batter or a bowler) so please communicate this to the captain. On the day of the match any new players should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start and introduce themselves to the captain.
