Congratulations to the Jarrett's

AJ and Beth introduced their new family to the world at 11:20pm on the 29th June 2008. After a marathon 12+ hour session Beth, showing her husband exactly what it means to to hold an end up, gave birth to Madison Ella Jarrett, weighing in at 3.3kg. Congrats from all of MCCC and we hope the family is happy and healthy.

MCCC Sunday XI vs BK XI

Ryan's boys posted 251, thanks to fifties from Majid Rafiq and the skipper himself. Despite an excellent opening stand, BK failed to chase down the score thanks to an outstanding spell from Mittal Patel.

THe excitement was all too much for some...

MCCC 3rd XI vs Woodmansterne IVths

The Mighty Thirds posted their highest ever total (260) and beat Woodmansterne by 70 runs. Stand out performance from Amit Khare who made 96, falling agonisingly short of just the 2nd ton in 3rd team history. He seemed happy enough though...

Q's Crazy adventure - PLEASE SUPPORT

Last year I swam the English Channel, and this year I am looking at more land based adventures. In an effort to raise money for charity, Iam doing the Wild UK challenge in September, running 2x 1/2 marathons in a day over Devon, followed by a 10 mile kayak, and 2x 30 mile cycles and ended off by a swim off the coast. Unfortunately the charity requires a min of £800 to enjoy the pleasure of this adventure. It would be great if you could help me out with this task and contribute a few bob.

MCCC 2nd vs Kennington UTD (Home)
Lost

The 2nd's lost a close fought battle vs Kennington UTD. In a game that swung from team to team it was MCCC that let it slip and really suffered from missing players on the field.

Saturday results

WIN WIN WIN!

In a famous day of cricketing action, all three Saturday sides won for the first time in Morden history.

The 1sts had Roy Cumings and Gerry Coetzer to thank as they scripted memorable 5 wicket win.

Simon Watt and Graham Pinkney ran through Englefield Green II to secure a 101 run win for the 2nd team.

The 3rds won by 41 runs as Girish Patel and Imran Ahmad set up an imposing total which Trinity (Oxley) were unable to hunt down, falling short thanks to sterling efforts with the ball from Brian Clifford and Geoff Balasoglou.
