MCCC 2nd Saturday Side beat MCCC 1st Saturday Side.

Due to both oppositions for the Saturday side's dropping out last minute, an inter-club match was arranged at Martin Way. In what turned out to be a really enjoyable match, Vivek's side have gone a long way to show how much depth of talent there is at MCCC. See Match report from Matt Oliver.

Glory Boys
Brian's merry men defeated Epsom methodists in a game that went down to the wire. In the last 3 overs 22 runs were needed by Epsom Methodists. The next over yielded 14 expensive runs. With 8 runs needed in the last 2 overs and then 4 runs in the last over it was nail biting stuff. Matt Oliver bowled a final over taking the last remaining wicket to bring us home. Sweeping in reverse - Roy does his Kevin Petersen impression
MCCC manage to dodge thunder, lightning and rain to crush Carshalton by over 100 runs with Satish in formdiable form with bat and ball. Gerry Coezter also dished out the treatment to Carshalton.

Andrews Team recorded the double over a very competitive and strong Riverside Team who were fired up to avenge the 1 run defeat which MCC administered to them. Choosing to bowl first MCCC applied great pressure but unfortunately allowed the oppo some cheap runs towards the end. Controversial decisions did not aid the effort. Majid "The Magician" rafiq claiming a hatrick. Chasing 193 the boys made it home in the 38th over with 2 wickets to spare. great team effort and many valuable batting contibutions. Good comeback effort from Azam Malik and a brave knock by Roy Cummings
