It's been a quiet last couple of weeks since the Club AGM.
Jim Patel has been working diligently to complete the Fixture programme for next year. He predicts that we'll have around 70 games next year with two Saturday teams, the Sunday team and the midweek Twenty Twenty side.
There is fevered speculation that one of our players from the past might be persuaded to come out of retirement to come and join us again in 2006. Suleman Pervez, an opening right-hand batter who was a very stylish strokemaker, may be may attend pre-season nets. His finest moment for MCCC was stroking a lovely century against Headly Heath. The club has moved on since Suleman but would very much welcome his return.

Ryan Hodder and Marcus Gounas who played some games for the us last year are apparently heading back to Australia and won't be playing in 2006. The club would like to thank them both for playing for the club.
Pre-seaon nets have been confirmed for 2006 to start on Saturday 18 March 2006. After feedback from last year we've decided to change the venue from Stewart Cricket Centre (Ewell Castle School) to Kings College in Wimbledon. Unfortunatley, the Stewart Cricket Centre were unable to offer us more nets to accomodate our increased membership base. The new setup at Kings will mean that we get the 4 nets as opposed to 2 and hopefully that would give more opportunity to bat and bowl for everyone.
The next club event is the Club Annual Dinner on Saturday 27 November 2005.

The Club AGM went ahead last Sunday. Nothing too controversial was passed. The Usual suspects turned up with a guest appearence from Dave "The Trigger" O'Brien. Let's hope we see more of him on the pitch in 2006.
Here are the minutes from the AGM
