A hatrick by Andy Alan helps MCCC win on Sunday against Old Whalers CC at Abbey Rec.

The running man - Graham Pinkney chases down a ball whilst fielding at fine leg. I'm not sure he had a chance to shout "MINE!" on this occasion.

Marathon man,Tush makes his long awaited come back this weekend against whalers. His Wasim Akram-esque style bowling action is best seen here square on. Tony Hammond is the fielder in the mid wicket area.

Sunday Skipper Charlie Cowburn delivers a ball against Whalers CC. This game was being played at Abbey Rec in South Wimbledon. Keeping wicket you can see Brian 'Gazelle' Douglass and Gerry Coezter

This weekends cricket represents a first for the club. We have 3 games - 2 on Saturday and 1 on sunday and there are 33 different players playing this weekend. This has never been acheived before and shows how far the club has come over the years. It looks increasingly likey that next year the 2nd Saturday team will be a permanent feature of the club. We've created enough interest in the club to be able to put out a 2nd Saturday team on several occasions in 2005. We are still looking for more fixtures for this year so keep checking the fixtures page.

On Saturday we take on old rivals Riverside at home in Taunton Avenue. With Andy Fletcher out this week Mark Bartram takes the helm. Haris Hussain is making his debut against Riverside.

The other Saturday team are playing on the picturesque venue of Richmond Green where they take on Prince's Head CC. This is a new team for 2005. We've tried to get a game with them in the past but our fixture card has been full up. The club usually play mid week twenty twenty games on the green. This will be the first time we are playing a full game on the green. Ash Patel plays his first game since getting married. We thank Mrs Patel for letting him play! Debuts are given to Matt Oliver and Steven Cummings.
