The weather for the weekend is looking okay. According to the BBC 5 day weather outlook , The weekend should be dry with Sunday being particularly good - hitting 25c. However let's wait and see what happens!

A new fixture for 7 May 2005. We are playing Albamorphics. There results from last season look quite impressive so a strong MCCC team will have put together to face them.

A message from the MCCC Marathon man, Tush. Can those who have sponsored him let him have the money on Thursday when he joins us at nets.

Dear all

You all would be glad hear that I ran Flora London Marathon and I finished it in 4.58 hrs. Please accept my apologies that I couldn't inform you earlier. I will see you during nets on 28.4.05.

Thanks for your support and sponsorship.
Tush

The Morden Corinthians 2005 winning streak goes on with the Sunday XI defeating Surbiton Conservatives. This is the best start to the cricket season in the club's short history.

This weekend MCCC are taking on Old Dorkinians on Saturday and Wimbledon Park on Sunday. Both are new fixtures for 2005. Moreover we are also taking on Old Dorkinians in this years 20/20 Cup competition so this weekends game should will be more interesting. The weather seems a very likely threat with rain over the last few days making the ground very soft. Two games in the 2005 season have already been called off because of bad weather. This will re-ignite the debate of whether or not to move the season back 2 weeks.

On Friday 22nd MCCC beat Richmond teachers on Richmond Green by 3 runs. For a full match report click here.

A new player for 2005, Andy Alan takes a breather after the latest net on wednesday night. Andy was in the team to face YPDA this weekend but the match was cancelled. The season really starts in earnest next weekend with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday's game is against Richmond teachers on the picturesque green in the centre of Richmond. The Saturday team are playing Barnes CC. It was a close game when the sides met last year but Barnes came out on top. The Sunday XI are up against Suribiton Conservatives. In recent years we've had some good results against them but there's always been competitive games.

MCCC get the 2005 season off to a flyer with a crushing 9 wicket victory over St.Margret's based team Crossbats. Crossbats were bowled out for 78 with Graham Pinkey getting 4 and MCCC debutant, David Underwood taking 3 wickets.

Steve Vickery at the second week of nets. Lots of people turned up this week. There must have been 20+ people - the biggest ever turnout for a MCCC net. We are looking at changing the venue for next years net to accommodate our increased numbers. Watch this space!

The Saturday Skipper Andy Fletcher (left) will be hopefully be leading another successful team in 2005.
