This week has seen sub zero temperatures hit London and to think we're only 6 weeks away from our first fixture of 2005. We must be mad! It will be interesting to see who turns out for that match.

Against Crossbats we always seem to get a good beating! In the last 10 years we've only beaten them once, with a big guns of Pistol Pete and Johno doing the damage. Last year was a bit of a farce in a low scoring game MCCC struggled again on the artifical strip.

Not much club news to report over the last couple of weeks. The club officers are trying to meet just to do final preparations for the season. Most of the work for the season has been completed or is at advanced stages. Nets start on Thursday 31st March 2005 with the first fixture only 2 weeks afterward that at Crossbats on Saturday April 9th 2005.

A lot of work has been done on the website in the close season to keep the content relatively fresh. However if there's anything you'd like to add or see on the website please drop the webmaster an email on webmaster@mordencorinthians.org.uk - We're always keen to get new ideas on how to extend the website as a form of communication as promoting links with other cricket clubs and the local community. If you play for another club and wish for us to add a link to your club website we are very willing to do so so get it touch.

Please use this opportunity to bring family, friends, colleagues and anyone else along whom you think maybe interested in playing cricket with us. More details about nets are available here.

Flashback to 2004 Season MCCC v's Footscray
Well if ever there was a result to forget this was certainly it. After a pretty abject performance in the field including a dropping a few dolly catches we only needed to score 96 to win. We didn't even get half of that! We managed to get ourselves all out for 33, the second lowest MCCC total in the club's history. Only one person got into double figures and the last five batters going for just 1 run! The oppo bowling was pretty ordinary. We've got 2 fixtures against the Footscray boys and hopefully we can give a better account of ourselves!!! Bring it on...
