It's been a quiet week in terms of club business or news. The club officers are going to meet at somepoint before the season just to take care of some administrative points to ensure the season runs smoothly. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes that isn't immediatly apparent.

Jim Patel - MCCC Fixture Secretary Jim Patel. amongst his many duties he performs for the club, liases with the the local authority, The London Borough of Merton, over the pitches we are going to be allocated for home games this year. It's envisaged that the majority if not all the game will take place at Taunton Avenue, Raynes Park. The other pitches Merton currently offers are Joseph Hood, Nursury Road, Abbey Rec, St. Georges Playing fields. Out this list the next best choices are Abbey Rec and Nursury Road.

In the last few weeks we've also been trying to increase the profile of the club website. There's a number of local community websites or portals which serve the local community and are non-profit making. On such websites, we are trying to get links to our own site so people interested can find us. If you take a look at our links page there's a new section on local community websites. The club fully supports local community initiatives so try and visit their websites. If there's any community websites you think we should try and get website links on drop us an email at info@mordencorinthians.org.uk

Another blast from the past. Isn't the internet great for looking up old friends. Does anyone remember Nick Magnus? He use to play for us several years ago but then went off to teach in Kenya. Well he's still out there but has reached the post of headmaster. Check this link out.

Only 3 months till our first fixture! Can you believe time has passed so quickly?! Jim Patel is already making contacts for the 2006 season as this years fixture calender is now complete.

There doesn't look like there's going to be a tour this year as quite a few of the usual suspects are unavailble for the trip this year.

Our focus will shortly be on nets which start end of March. We also need to start thinking about some new member initiatives.
