Where has everyone gone this week? As there has been a lack of availabilities this week, Sundays game against Ockham has been called off. So far we only have 9 people for sunday. Reigate Prioriy play on a really well kept ground for those who haven't been down so it's worth playing.

No sign of the Sunil Desai comebact as of yet. No news from Ash or Tash either!

The weather for the weekend is looking good.

Thursday, July 15, 2004

We should be hitting peak summer as it's mid July now. What's happend to our weather?

Hopefully, this weeks matches against NPL (Saturday) and Epsom Liberals (Sunday home) will yield better results than the previous week. Batting was where we let ourselves down against Cuddington Casuals with only 3 people in double figures!

The Saturday team are back to a stronger line up with Andy Fletcher, Krishna Murali and Imran Ahmad back in for this fixture, not to mention Jim Patel who makes a rare Saturday outing. Last years fixture against NPL ended in a one-sided loss in a picturesque ground of Dorking. Let's hope we can dig deep this year.

As another week goes by can MCCC win both games over the weekend? Quite a few players are unavailable this weekend.

MCCC make their debut at our NEW NEW home ground in Raynes park.

BREAKING NEWS

As a result of the poor quality of wicket provided by Greenacres, MCCC has decided to re-locate its home pitch to Taunton Avenue, Raynes Park, London SW20. Our contractual commitments to Greenacres have been terminated with no loss to the club.

Both Jim Patel and Steve O'Neil have been to see the new ground to check out the facilities available. The wicket and outfield are up to a good standard and there are facilities for taking Tea indoors. A local Pub will be providing the tea and delivering it to the ground. This ground was identified by Steve Vickery who has links to a near by Rugby Club.

The nearest station is Raynes Park (British Rail) which is only a short walk away.

The Club would like to thank in particular Steve O'Neil, Steve Vickery and Jim Patel for all the work needed to find and secure the new ground.

A weekend of wins on Saturday and Sunday against Old Manhattans and Cashalton Althetic respectively.

The condition of the home pitch at Greenacres is looking a bit dodgy, much work is needed on it before it becomes decent wicket. Some cricket pitch specialists are coming into see the wicket tomorrow to see what can be done.
Some attention is also need on the outfield with areas needing to be re-seeded.
