MOTIONS PROPOSED FOR AGM 2006

NOTES - covering motions and requests for equipment:

The general guideline for a motion is a proposal which effects corporate change in Club policy and management.

The requests for purchases such as general equipment and sundries (excluding exceptional items) can be appropriately raised and put before the Committee for debate at the Club’s annual Business Meeting in February.

MOTIONS FOR DEBATE:
Brian Douglas – for a Tour:
· The Club should plan and organise a Tour for 2007
Andrew Jarrett – for a membership fee deadline, minimum games:
· To have a new deadline for collection of membership fee
· Members to play a minimum of 5 games each season to retain auto membership. (to avoid people who don't play a single game taking up a spot of a potential new member who would play the whole year if they could).

Jim Patel – for entry to a league:
· The Club to enter a league

Imran Ahmad – for 2nd Saturday home games; Officer’s additional responsibility, subsidy for nets:

· The 2nd Saturday team to have at least 50% home games where possible. With fixtures played at Taunton Avenue. If we have a settled home ground this should lead to an increased fixture calendar for the 2nd team.

· Add the responsibility to Social secretary as Media secretary

· Club to provide £100 budget to either subsidise nets cost for members or to pay for professional coaching during nets.

Vivek Sarohia - for inter-club fixtures; more Club awards:
· Inter-club game to be moved forward to June. Dates for 1st v 2nd Saturday game and mixed Sat vs Sun game to be organised well in advance.

· Awards to be presented on a team by team basis, as opposed to just one overall award for the whole club.

Brian Clifford – for increased fixtures, new scoreboard, team-by-team accounts
· To increase the amount of fixtures for the 2nd Saturday side. Starting last week in April and ending 3rd week in September

· The Club to purchase a scoreboard for the Saturday 2nd team. Perhaps a £300 subsidy (deemed exceptional, Chairman) from the club in order to purchase the lightweight scoreboard from Australia.

· The Club to present financial information on a team by team basis, so that the viability of additional teams (including the Saturday 2nd team) can be appraised.

Steve Vickery – for variation to match time, match balls, and pitch bookings
· To start some matches earlier – 11:00am – either for early finish or for two innings
· To have two balls per match
· To Book pitches two years in advance (if we can) to ensure 1st pitch

Mark Bartram - Club Identity
· Players to wear ‘Club shirt and cap at matches, in accordance with the Club’s logo and colour.
· The Club to procure shirts with the MCCC logo for players to purchase.
