It's been all quiet on the western front with not much happening in the run up to the Christmas. Jim Patel is gradually filling up the 2006 fixture list in his usual diligent manner. Only a few fixtures remain to be filled now with the majority of the spare slots for the 2nd Saturday team away. If it becomes difficult to fill them we may have to re-think and get more home fixtures. It is envisaged that the majority of the home fixtures will be played at Raynes Park Recreation Ground in Taunton Avenue with both teams playing here. The first 3 Saturday fixtures this year are Crossbats, Westcott and Natherne.

Last year the MCCC Strike Bowler Andy Allan broke the club record for the number of wickets taken in the season with 70+ wickets. Andy is currently back in New Zealand. We hope he returns to lead the bowling attack in 2006.
